Written for Jingle Poetry - Seven Deadly Sins
Wonder why it is called a deadly sin?
Wonder why it is called a deadly sin?
I feel dead without it.
Longing for those days
That I felt it every moment
The need and longing insatiable
And now, I would gladly commit the sin of lust
To spend eternity in hell
To feel alive, to feel the longing,
the intense heat of desire
The real sin, is living a life without it.
POWERFUL and TRUE! Brilliant.
ReplyDeleteVery electric poem. Crackles nicely through word choice. Enjoyed how you look at the 'other side' of living in a chaotic world.
