Ah, yes, I understand what you are saying here...but I guess mothers just have to have a bit of faith that their children will find their way, just as they did. But sometimes not easy.
I hear this! Having a daughter and having grown up as a girl/woman, there is so much to be anxious about! Especially the way the world is today. Very well written!
It seems to be part of the package motherhood hands us, the wish to protect and the knowledge that we won't always be able to. Love, faith and a sense of humour help along the way...:)
A parent can certainly relate to this - we suffer more over our children's pain than our own. All part of the journey though, their scary passage, as they find their own way.

ReplyDeleteYes, I understand that anxiety. Very well written!

ReplyDeleteBeautifully said.
ReplyDeleteWe will never be able to stop worrying as mothers
even if our children is more able than us.
So true! Worst fear ever!
ReplyDeleteI don't think that every quite goes away, no matter how old they are - nice poem.
ReplyDelete... I meant 'ever' (not every)
ReplyDelete...My fear for them and what I can't control
ReplyDeleteIs more anxiety than I can hold...
...I can definitely relate...felt for sure.
